Happy Friday! I’ll be trying not to spend all Saturday shopping around for the pieces below. How amaze is this? Perfect guide to packing for a trip or just maximizing your casual wardrobe (especially if it’s filled with neutrals and stripes like mine!). Have a good weekend!
Don’t forget to snoop around all the goodies on the JAT Tumblr page. Probably not healthy to have another Pinterest-y outlet for all the internet’s treasures, but I can’t stop. I’m seriously addicted!

Now don’t let the fashion gods get me wrong, I love a good ballet flat any day (or a loafer!), but these oxfords have been a really fun addition to my comfy-casual shoe repertoire. They’re a throw-back for sure — I’ve seen the pictures of my mom in her black and white saddle shoes during her elementary school days many times — but what goes around comes around and they seem totally new and fresh again.

PS Check out the killer round up of Gap’s oxfords by Christie over at Carafe Half Full! Swoon.
How cute would this Essie print from Roaring Softly’s Etsy shop be in your (or my) bathroom!?
A couple of weekends ago I was really feeling under the weather. Luckily, it wasn’t the flu. I was feeling just bad enough not to want to get off the couch, but not so bad that I couldn’t enjoy making (and consuming) this hot toddy and watching Twilight (God it was so horrible but I couldn’t stop). Disclaimer: I would not recommend this drink in place of real medicine! I drank mine with a side of Zicam. This would also be great on any cold winter’s night — sick or not!
1 shot bourbon
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp brown sugar
1 cup water
juice of 1 lemon wedge
garnish with cinnamon stick and lemon peel
Bring cup of water to a boil. Add all other ingredients to a mug or old fashioned glass. Pour boiling water into mug/glass and stir until brown sugar dissolves.
